Viewing and updating RAP pointers within block or CI

The RAP Pointers panel shows a list of root anchor points (RAPs). You can use the list to navigate through the database or to update a RAP pointer if it is in error.

Procedure

Access this panel by selecting the RAPs option on the Initial selection panel.

The first few lines on this panel provide information that identifies the database and data set. The lower part of the panel shows a list of RAP pointers. You can overwrite the addresses that are shown under the Root-RBA field to modify the database pointers. Press Enter to accept your changes.

You can also use this list to determine where to go next within the database. Enter an S to the left of a pointer to select the next segment. If you select a pointer, the corresponding Segment Prefix panel is displayed.
