Adding a member type

Member types identify the object category in which data falls (for example, Person, Provider, Guest, or Organization). To add a member type, you must define both the member type definition and the associated derived data strategy.

About this task

Member types are managed in InfoSphere® MDM Workbench Configuration perspective.

Procedure

  1. In the View list, select Expert.
  2. In the configuration editor, select Member Types.
  3. Click Add Member Type. A new member type is created with default property values.
  4. In the Properties view, set the appropriate values for each property.

    The information entered in the Derived Data section (Name, Code, and Library Code) must be defined in the MPI_dvdhead database table.

  5. Save the project.
