Introduction to the MDMSupport Hot Fix Finder tool
You can use the standalone hot fix finder tool for finding the hotfix level in the server installation.
You can find the stand-alone hot fix finder tool for InfoSphere® MDM under the <MDM_INSTALL_DIR>/MDMSupport directory.
How the hot fix finder works
Hot fix Finder probes JAR, WAR, and EAR files in a directory and its recursive subdirectories, including nested JAR, WAR, and EAR files, to determine the employed InfoSphere MDM version or hot fix level based on the InfoSphere MDM specific version file Version.txt.If
in any case the version files can not represent the actual version
or hot fix level, the result of this program will not be accurate.
This can include, but is not limited to, the following examples:
- absent or unreadable version files
- sets of JAR, WAR, and EAR files that cannot be definitively analyzed to determine the version number or hot fix level
- hot fixes not containing JAR, WAR, and EAR files; for example, shell scripts, database scripts, properties files, DTD or XSD files, and so forth
- temporary fixes
