Task categories
The MDM operational server manages two categories of tasks that affect how task records are updated and stored: member-centric and entity-centric.
Member-centric tasks are those tasks where resolution updates affect a member. Identification tasks of potential overlays and premerge tasks are examples of member-centric tasks. Member-centric task information is stored in the mpi_memxtsk table. The relationship task of invalid reference is a member-centric task that is stored in the mpi_relxtsk table.
Entity-centric tasks (suspected duplicate, potential linkage, and review identifier) represent identification tasks in which resolution work affects an entity. Information about these tasks is stored in the mpi_enxtsk table. Relationship tasks of multiplicity, relationship creation, and missing relationships are also considered entity-centric and are stored in the mpi_relxtsk table.
