Adding a task status

Use this procedure to add a task status. Task statuses help identify the workflow state that a task is in. For example, if a data steward has looked at a task but has not determined how to resolve it, they might set the task status to deferred. After they resolve the task, they can set the status to resolved.

Task statuses are managed in InfoSphere® MDM Workbench Configuration perspective.


  1. In the View list, select Expert.
  2. In the configuration editor, select Tasks.
  3. Click Add in the Task Statuses group box.
  4. In the Properties view, set the appropriate values for each property. The Status ID field is read-only and cannot be edited. SeeTable 1 for property descriptions.
  5. Save the project.
