Implementation-defined segments

The flexibility of IBM® InfoSphere® MDM permits each implementation to have custom segments configured to fit their data environments. These custom segments are typically called implementation-defined segments (IDS) or implementation-defined relationship segments (IDRS) and are configured in InfoSphere MDM Workbench. The custom segments result in the creation of custom database tables.

It is important to note that the tables listed in the current topics and the tables you see in your database immediately after installation, are considered to be the InfoSphere MDM pre-defined or standard tables.

All IDS segments have a corresponding “_h” table to support storage of point-in-time history.
