Working with reference data sets
After you create reference data sets, you create reference
values for those sets. You can edit and delete sets or reference values.
Some properties, such as the lifecycle or reference data type, become
read-only after the data set is initially saved.
Creating reference data sets
You create reference data sets as the first step in defining your reference data. Each reference data set is based on a reference data type.
Creating reference data set versions
You create a version of a reference data set when you want to change its properties or its reference values without affecting the existing versions.
Changing reference data sets
You change a reference data set when you want to edit its properties. Fields that cannot be changed are disabled. Set properties are defined on the Set Level tab for the reference data type.
Copying reference data sets
You copy reference data sets when you want to create a reference data set with properties similar to an existing one.
Deleting reference data sets or data reference set versions
You delete reference data sets versions that you no longer want. Deleting the only version of a set also deletes the set. Reference data sets cannot be deleted if they are referenced by other sets or mappings.
Comparing reference data sets
As part of reviewing a reference data set, you might want to know what changed between different versions. You can also compare two different sets. You can compare sets or set versions to see additions, deletions, and differences in the values and properties.
Merging versions
You can merge versions of a reference data set that has more than one version.
Reference data set properties
Every reference data set has a default set of properties in addition to any custom properties that are created in the reference data type.
