Adding items to the data pool

You can add trade items to the data pool if they are in the Approved status. When the trade item is approved for registration, you have to add it to the data pool.

Before you begin

Prior to publishing a hierarchy to a trading partner, you must add the trade items and the corresponding links to a datapool. For a link to be eligible for addition to a datapool, the following conditions need to be satisfied:
  • The status of the parent item of the link must be "Registered".
  • The status of the child item of the link must be "Registered".
  • The status of the link should be either "Approved", or "Registered" with the IP status as "Rejected".
  • The parent item or the child item should not be published to a datapool with another trade item.

Procedure

  1. Click Publish Items > Add Item.
  2. Specify the search criteria for the trade items, and click Search.
  3. Select the trade items, and click Next.
  4. Select the date for when you want the data pool to process the message for adding the trade item from the calendar icon, and click Next.
  5. Review the list of trade items and click Add Items.

Results

The trade items are added to the data pool the status for the items changes to Submitted for Registration. When a response comes from datapool, the status changes to Registered.
