Notifications

Notifications are application-to-application messages containing data relevant to specific events that have occurred in the sending application.

The Notifications Manager component is used to send notification messages from InfoSphere® MDM to different destinations, for example, it can be used to send notifications about grouping name changes to other systems. Currently, the Notifications Service uses the Java™ Message Service (JMS) to publish messages to, for example, IBM® WebSphere® MQ for queuing to whatever listener applications subscribe to them.
