Management Console overview

This section provides information about starting and exiting the InfoSphere® MDM Management Console.

The Management Console provides a mechanism to modify InfoSphere MDM configuration elements. The configuration elements are used to control the behavior of dozens of InfoSphere MDM capabilities and features. For more information about the Configuration and Management capabilities, see Using the Configuration and Management components.

Important: Before you start the Management Console, ensure that you have started the Management Agent. The console relies on the agent to function properly. For information about starting the agent, see Starting the Management Agent.
