The Analytics View

About this task

The Analytics view provides query tools to the configuration user to analyze a server configuration.

Accessing the analytics view
Use this procedure to access the Analytics view.
Connecting to an operational server to run data analytics queries
Before you can view data in the Analytics view, you must first connect with an operational server.
Adding a query to a view
After the Analytics view has a data source associated with it, you can load one or more queries and view the results.
Exporting query results to CSV format
After running queries, most results can be exported to Comma Separated Values (CSV) format.
Loading previous analysis results
Analysis results can be saved into what is called a “snapshot.” Use this procedure to load a previously saved snapshot.
Obtaining data
Each query contains a Run Query button that is used to execute the query. Some queries have optional input fields that are used as query criteria.
Preparing analysis data for large data sets
If the number of records in the operational server is larger than 2 million, the bucket analysis queries cannot execute unless the data is first “prepared.” Data preparation involves taking the raw member and bucket data and pre-computing an intermediary set of data that can be quickly queried.
