Data model files

Two physical data model formats are provided with the InfoSphere® Data Architect.

The InfoSphere Data Architect data models, as well as PDF files containing data model diagrams, are located in the fileMDM_INSTALL_HOME/database folder, where MDM_INSTALL_HOME is the base installation folder for your InfoSphere MDM instance. Within the database folder, you will find the following subfolders:
  • CoreData – contains the core physical MDM data model.
  • CoreData/diagrams – contains the diagrams for the core data model.
  • DataModel – contains the domain-specific data model for physical MDM.
  • DataModel/diagrams – contains the diagrams for the domain-specific data model.

In order to view the IBM® InfoSphere Data Architect files, you must have a data project folder that you will copy all the InfoSphere Data Architect files into. Start InfoSphere Data Architect, refresh the project folder, and the new files will show up and ready for you to view.
