External validation

External validation, which allows the InfoSphere® MDM products to validate end user data before updating or adding transactions, is a highly configurable and extendable feature that you can administer, using the Administration application.

You can configure group validation rules that define the rule parameters linked to business objects, such as Contract, PartyAddress, or OrganizationName, and determine how end-user data from that business object is validated. You can also configure element validation rules that define how individual elements of those business objects are validated.
