Several pieces of information are applicable when adding contact methods to a party.

| Contact Point | Describes the reference for the contact method type. This could be the actual fax number or e-mail address. |
| Status | Current status of this contact method. For example, a telephone number can be listed, not published, or unlisted. |
| Undelivered Reason | Reason any correspondence was not successfully delivered using this contact method. |
| Contact Method Comments | Specifies any additional information about this contact method for this party. |
| Seasonal Start Date | Month and day the seasonal contact method is valid for this party. |
| Seasonal End Date | Month and day the seasonal contact method is no longer valid for this party. |
| Effective Date | Date which this contact method becomes active for this party. |
| End Date | Date which this contact method is no longer valid for this party. |
| Contact Method Category | Indicates a contact method for this party, such as e-mail address or telephone number. |
| Contact Method Type | Specifies a subtype based on the selection for the Contact Method Category field. For example, if you selected Email Address as the contact method category, you can select the Business Email or Personal Email subtype. |
| Message Size | Maximum size of an electronic message that can be sent to this party when the Contact Method Value value is Email Address. |
| Preferred Contact Method | Preferred contact method for this party, such as by phone or by e-mail. |
| Solicitation Allowed | Shows whether this person can be solicited using this contact method. If Yes is selected, this person can be solicited. |
| Text Only | Shows whether this person wants to receive correspondence in text only (that is, without attachments) when contacted by e-mail. If Yes is selected, this person cannot be sent files attached to e-mails. |
| Attachments Allowed | Shows whether this person wants to receive attachments (such as text files or image files) when contacted by e-mail. If Yes is selected, this person can be sent attachments. |
| Preferred Contact Start Time | The earliest time that this party prefers to be contacted. The hours are based on a twenty-four hour clock and the minutes are divided into five minute increments (for example, 9:45). |
| Preferred Contact End Time | The latest time that this party prefers to be contacted. The hours are based on a twenty-four hour clock and the minutes are divided into five minute increments (for example, 18:30). |
