Overview of the script editor

You use the script editor to create and edit the IBM® InfoSphere® Master Data Management Collaboration Server scripts. The script editor includes a script builder and a semantics checker.

The script editor contains the following main features:
Content assist
You use the Ctrl+space key combination to use the content assist function of the editor. Use the Ctrl+space key combination when you type the name of a script operation or a user-defined function to display a list of operations, functions, and documentation. After you select an item from the list, a template for the item construct that the keyword uses is automatically provided.
Hover help
You can place the mouse over certain labels and fields to display more text for help.
On error markers
Errors that are found when the file was last saved are marked on both margins of the editor pane. Go to errors in the file by clicking the red marker in the right margin. You can hover over the red marker on the left margin to view information about the problem detected.
On script operations
You can hover over a script operation that is found within a script to display documentation help for that script operation.
On a user function
You can hover over a user function to display a text area that contains documentation help for that user function.
On a user variable
You can hover over a variable to display a text area that contains documentation help for that variable.
