System administrators manage the database and system, logs
and performance, and access for other users. Typical responsibilities
of system administrators include deploying and managing company data
models, managing users and roles, managing system services, defining
clusters, integrating LDAP, and monitoring IBM® InfoSphere® Master Data Management
Collaboration Server.
In many cases, you can use scripts for your administration tasks,
such as for deploying a company. You can also use the product interface
for many tasks. The following lists show the items that you typically
work with in the user interface in your role as a system administrator.
The tasks in these lists are typical and do not represent an exhaustive
set.
The system administrator tasks are available from the consoles
and menus under the System Administrator, Product
Manager, Collaboration Manager,
and Data Model Manager menu choices in the
interface. Depending on the role that you have and the level of access
and customization, certain tasks might not be available for you.
