run_pre_script_for_location parameter

The run_pre_script_for_location parameter defines whether associated pre-processing scripts are run when an object model for an item of the catalog is built.

Parameter values

Value: true/false
Default value: true

You must set the parameter value to false if you want scripts to be run only on the root entry node of the item. If you want scripts to run on the root entry node of the item and on the root entry nodes of each of the available locations of the item, set the value to true.

Note: If you set the parameter value to true and an item has thousands of available locations, then any applicable pre-processing script will be run thousands of times for each available location of that item. If the pre-processing script runs an extreme amount of times it can lead to severe system performance degradation.
