  2. Convert the Database Definition Language (DDL) content into a physical data model:
    1. From the main file menu, choose File > New > Other > Data > Data Design Project.

The New Data Design Project wizard opens.

    2. Complete the steps in the wizard.
    3. From the main file menu, choose File > New > Other > Data > Physical Data Model. The New Physical Data Model wizard opens.
    4. Complete the steps of the wizard, choosing to reverse engineer the model from a database or DDL file.
Note: For more information, see Creating a physical data model using a wizard in the IBM® Integrated Data Management information center.
  3. Import the physical data model (.dbm file) into a Hub Module model:
    1. From the main file menu, select File > Import > InfoSphere Master Data Management Server > Import physical data model. The Import Physical Data Model wizard opens on the Select Source and Destination page.

Existing tables in the Hub Module model are shown in the Update Existing Entities and Code Tables lists. During the import process, the wizard requires that each table to be imported is classified as either an entity or a code table. If a physical data model element has already been imported into the Hub Module, then it has already been classified and is displayed in the Update Existing Entities and Code Tables lists.

    5. To change the classification of one or more database tables, select each table and click either Entity or Code Table to move the table into the appropriate list.
    6. Select Display import report to automatically view the import report.
