There are some tables in InfoSphere® MDM Server that
can be associated with multiple types of entities.
InfoSphere MDM Server uses “logical foreign key” pattern via two
columns:
- ENTITY_NAME: The name of the business entity that is associated
with this entity, for example, CONTRACT.
- INSTANCE_PK: The actual primary key of the row for the logical
entity that is associated with this entity.
With these two columns, an entity can be related to any other
entity in model.
