Setting up JMS in IBM WebSphere Application Server

If you attach the SOAP Over Java™ Message Service (JMS) binding or the Text Over JMS binding by using IBM® InfoSphere® Information Services Director in the IBM InfoSphere Information Server console, you must first configure messaging queues or topics within IBM WebSphere® Application Server. Queues and topics are the virtual places where messages are exchanged.

About this task

These topics document a simple example of creating JMS request and response queues or topics. Refer to the IBM WebSphere Application Server, Version 6.1 information center or WebSphere Application Server, Version 7.0 information center for details on setting up more complex configurations.
