Configuring the Classic Federation enterprise stage

To use a Classic Federation enterprise stage in an IBM® InfoSphere® DataStage® job, you must set the appropriate stage properties. You can set the stage properties by using options that the stage editor provides.

Procedure

To open the stage editor, double-click the stage icon.

Stage page
The Stage page has these tabs: General, Advanced, and NLS Map. With these tabs, you can specify the properties for the stage.
Input page for update and insert operations
On the Input page, specify how you want the data to be transferred from the stage to a remote host using the ODBC protocol.
Input page for write operations
On the Input page, specify the properties to perform a classicfedwrite operation.
Output page for classicfedread and classicfedlookup operations
The Output page appears both in the classicfedread and classicfedlookup modes of the Classic Federation enterprise stage.

On this page, use the tabs to specify the properties to perform a classicfedread operation.

For a lookup operation, you need to specify appropriate values on the Properties tab.
Output page with a reject link for a classicfedupsert operation
A reject link contains raw data for columns rejected due to schema mismatch after your SELECT statement is run.
