Configuring your browser
To run the installation program successfully, you must configure your browser to support the requirements of the installation program.
All browsers
- Verify that you have a supported browser. For details, go to the system requirements at http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=ibm10795153.
- See http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21675547 for additional browser restrictions.
- Make sure that JavaScript is enabled.
Mozilla Firefox
Newer versions of Firefox enable JavaScript and load images automatically by default. If you have older versions of Mozilla Firefox and have disabled these options, enable them before running the installation program:- In the Options, menu select Options. The Options window displays.
- Select Content.
- Enable Load images automatically.
- Enable Enable JavaScript.
- Click OK.
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Restriction: Graphics in the installation
wizard might not display correctly in Microsoft Internet Explorer. To see the
graphics in the wizard, use Mozilla Firefox if you have it installed.
Make
sure that the security zone for the computer allows the installation
program to run:- From Microsoft Internet Explorer, in the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
- Click the Security tab.
- Click the Trusted Sites icon.
- Click Sites.
- In the Add this Website to the zone field,
type
https://hostname
where hostname is the host name of the computer on which the installation program will run. - Click Add.
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
