Additional directory created on the services tier computer
If you are using IBM® WebSphere® Application Server Network Deployment, the following directory is created on the services tier computer. (Whereas, if IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty Profile is used, the application server is installed in the wlp subdirectory in the IBM InfoSphere® Information Server directory path.)
- WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment installation directory
- This directory will contain WebSphere Application Server Network
Deployment executable files and libraries, including the following
services:
- Shared services of InfoSphere Information Server
- Product module-specific services
The following table provides operating system-specific information about the application server installation directory.

The installation directory path can contain
only the following characters:
- 0-9
- [a-z][A-Z]
- - (hyphen)
- _ (underscore)
- . (period)
Do not use accented characters, double byte characters, or the following special characters in the path: ` ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) | \/ ? > <, { } [ ]
