Table Management workspace
Use this workspace to manage reference tables and tables that were generated during analysis. You can add a reference table, open a table, delete a table, add the table to a project, export a table to a file, view the metadata in a table, and view the assets that are associated with the table.
Select Reference Table to Work With object list
The object list shows all the reference tables that are associated with the open project.

- Filtering consists of an attribute, an operator, and a value. Click the filter icon and then select the attribute, operator, and a text or date value by which to filter the metadata. You can select to apply the filters to all or to any conditions. When a filter has been applied, the icon changes to indicate that it has been applied. Click Clear to clear the filter.
- Name
- Shows the name of the reference table.
- Category
- Shows the category of the reference table. A category is the type of table that was created, for example, a frequency distribution table or a data sample table.
- Database
- Shows the database that the reference table is associated with.
- Table
- Shows the name of the table that the reference file is associated with.
- Column
- Shows the name of the column that the reference file is associated with.
- Created Date
- Shows the date that the reference file was created.
Tasks pane
Select a table in the object list and click one of the following tasks.
- Add Reference Table
- Click to add a reference table to the metadata repository.
- Open
- Click to open the table and view the records.
- Delete
- Click to delete the reference table from the metadata repository.
- View Metadata
- Click to view the definition of the table, including column names of the table and the data type for each column.
- Add to Project
- Click to add the selected table to the project. This registers the table to the project. A table must be registered in a project to be used for additional analysis such as binding it to another data rule.
- View Associated Assets
- Click to view the assets that are associated with the selected table.
