Checklist for migrating from Version 11.3 to Version 11.7
Use this migration checklist to migrate from InfoSphere® Information Server, Version 11.3 to InfoSphere Information Server, Version 11.7.
This task explains the procedures required to migrate from version 11.3 to version
11.7.
Note: Instead of migrating, users of IBM®
InfoSphere Information Server, Version
11.7, can do an inplace upgrade to version 11.7.
Complete the following tasks: - Export the assets of any of the following products or components
that you have, in any order, from your Version 11.3 source computer
:
- Common metadata.
- Information Services Director
- InfoSphere Data Click
- InfoSphere DataStage
- InfoSphere FastTrack
- InfoSphere
Information Analyzer
- InfoSphere Information Governance
Catalog
- InfoSphere Information Governance
Dashboard
- InfoSphere QualityStage
- Reports.
- Users, groups and credentials
Note: You can alternately export most types of assets by using the istool export command with the -all parameter. -
Import each of the following products or components, in the following order, to your target
computer:
- Users, groups and credentials

Common metadata.

InfoSphere DataStage

InfoSphere QualityStage
- Information Services Director

Reports.
- InfoSphere Information Analyzer
- InfoSphere FastTrack
- InfoSphere Data Click
- InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog
- InfoSphere Information Governance Dashboard
Note: You can alternately import most types of assets by using the istool import command with the -all parameter.
