Configuring computers to be compute nodes for in an MPP system (AIX® Linux®)
Follow this procedure to configure your computers to act as a compute nodes in a parallel processing cluster.
A parallel processing configuration consists of a conductor node that contains the IBM® InfoSphere® Information Server engine, and compute nodes that contain parallel engines.
About this task
- Make the parallel engine components available to each compute node.
- Configure the parallel engine to run the remote shell (rsh) or the secure shell (ssh) without a password on all compute nodes
- Set user privileges to run parallel jobs.
- If you did not globally cross-mount the Projects directory in step 1, set up a method of distributing the transform libraries to the compute nodes.
