Open Details Data Schema window

Use this pane to view or edit the metadata of a selected data schema.

Alias
Shows the alias name for the data schema. You can type a new alias name for the data schema.
Creation Tool
Identifies the tool that was used to create the data schema. This field cannot be edited.
Short Description
Shows the short description of the data schema. You can type a new short description for the data schema.
Long Description
Shows the long description of the data schema. You can type a new long description for the data schema.

Terms list

Use the Terms list to add or remove glossary terms from the data schema. A term is a business definition that becomes a part of the InfoSphere® Information Governance Catalog glossary vocabulary and classification system. You must have the appropriate InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog role to access the Terms object list.

Name
Shows the title of the term.
Description
Shows the description of the term.
Steward
Shows the user or groups of users who are responsible for the definition, purpose, and use of assets in the metadata repository.
Location
Shows the location of the term.
Remove
Click to remove the association between the data schema and the selected term.
Add
Click to associate the data schema with one or more terms.

Policies list

Use the Policies list to add policies to or remove policies from the data schema. A policy contains business guidelines, such as security regulations.

Number
Shows the policy number.
Title
Shows the policy title.
Remove
Click to remove the association between the data schema and the selected policy.
Add
Click to associate the data schema with one or more policies.

Contacts list

Use the Contacts object list to add contact names to or remove contact names from the data schema. A contact contains personal information about users.

Name
Shows the name of the contact.
Job Title
Shows the job title of the contact.
Remove
Click to remove the association between the data schema and the selected contact name.
Add
Click to associate the data schema with one or more contact names.
