Command Interface window
The Command Interface window lets you issue InfoSphere® Information Server engine commands directly from a selected project, and save commands to the VOC file on the server. Command output is displayed in the Command Output window.
CAUTION: You should take care when issuing InfoSphere Information Server engine commands that manipulate the NLS settings on your system. Incorrect use of these commands could disrupt both DataStage and the rest of your system.
The window contains the following controls:
- Command . Displays the InfoSphere Information Server engine command that you want to execute. Type the command into this field, or double-click a command in the Command History list box.
- Command History. A list of previously executed InfoSphere Information Server engine commands in chronological order.
- Close. Closes this window.
- Execute. Executes the command displayed in the Command field. The Command Output window displays the output of the command and prompts for any additional information.
- Save As... Saves selected commands in the Command History list box to the VOC file on the server. A single command is saved as a sentence, multiple commands are saved as a paragraph.
