Service-specific parameters

Service-specific parameters pertain to a single service, so the values that you define affect only that service.

ACTIVEOLDSACCESS
ACTIVEOLDSACCESS is an optional parameter that controls how BSAM overlapped operations are used by the IMS log reader to read the contents of an active online log data set.
ADMINQPOLLTIME
The ADMINQPOLLTIME configuration parameter defines the frequency at which the administration service polls the administration queue (CECADMIN DD) for new requests.
ADMINQSTOPWAIT
The ADMINQSTOPWAIT configuration parameter allows you to control the maximum time the administration service waits for a subscription to reach inactive state when processing a stop request from the administration queue (CECADMIN DD).
APPLYBUFFERSIZE
The APPLYBUFFERSIZE configuration parameter defines the size of the buffer that Data Replication for IMS uses to send changes from the source server to the target server.
APPLYOPTIONS
The APPLYOPTIONS configuration parameter is used to selectively enable different processing optimizations during the apply process.
CACHEINDICATOR
The CACHEINDICATOR configuration parameter controls what kind of memory is used by the capture cache.
CALLCAPTUREXITS
The CALLCAPTUREXITS configuration parameter is used to enable calling the change capture systems exits when retrieving data for sampling and validation purposes.
COMMSTRING
The COMMSTRING parameter specifies the protocol identifier and address for communication.
CONFLICTEXIT
The CONFLICTEXIT parameter identifies the name of the exit load module that is called to resolve conflicts when an inconsistency between the source and target is detected.
CONNECTINTERVAL
The CONNECTINTERVAL parameter defines the frequency at which the DRA service retries connecting to IMS when IMS is not available.
CONNECTRETRYLMT
The CONNECTRETRYLMT configuration parameter identifies how many times the capture service tries to connect to the target server to restart replication for a persistent subscription before giving up.
CONSOLELEVEL
CONSOLELEVEL is a required parameter that controls when event messages are sent to the z/OS® console.
DEPGRAPHHASHSZ
The DEPGRAPHHASHSZ configuration parameter controls the size of the hash table that contains keys for each component used in dependency analysis.
DEPGRAPHKEYS
The DEPGRAPHKEYS configuration parameter identifies the level of granularity that you want dependency analysis to use for parallelism decisions.
DEPGRAPHMEMORY
The DEPGRAPHMEMORY configuration parameter controls the size of the 64-bit memory object that the target server obtains for dependency analysis.
DEPGRAPHUORLIMIT
The DEPGRAPHUORLIMIT configuration parameter controls how the target server tracks UOR information for dependency analysis.
DISPLAYLOG
The DISPLAYLOG parameter allows you to view log messages for the logger service.
DLIMAXOPENTIME
The DLIMAXOPENTIME configuration parameter controls whether the IMS log reader service selects a DL/I batch PRILOG entry when DLIUSLOGALLINFO has a value other than 2.
DLIUSELOGALLINFO
The DLIUSELOGALLINFO configuration parameter controls how and if the IMS log reader service analyzes DBRC LOGALL information to determine whether a log that is created by a DL/I batch job might contain changes that need to be captured.
DONEUORLIMIT
The DONEUORLIMIT configuration parameter allows you to control how many DONEUORS segments can exist for a subscription when completed UOR tracking is active.
DONEUORTRACKING
The DONEUORTRACKING configuration parameter enables completed UOR tracking.
DRATABLESUFFIX
The DRATABLESUFFIX parameter identifies the suffix of the DRA startup table.
DRAUSERID
The DRAUSERID parameter identifies the DRA user ID.
EIFEVENTSERVERS
The EIFEVENTSERVERS parameter is maintained as a service list that defines the destination of Event Integration Facility (EIF) events.
EVENTLOG
EVENTLOG is an optional parameter identifies the name of the event message log that is defined to the logger service.
HEARTBEATTIMEOUT
HEARTBEATTIMEOUT controls the frequency of heartbeat messages for a subscription.
HOSTCODEPAGE
The HOSTCODEPAGE parameter identifies the CCSID that the z/OS operating system uses where the data server is running.
IMSBOOKMARKDB
The IMSBOOKMARKDB parameter specifies the name of the database defined to IMS to use as a bookmark database for replication.
IMSJCFOPTIONS
The IMSJCFOPTIONS configuration parameter allows you to control the information that is populated in the journal control fields that are sent to a CDC target engine when capturing IMS changes.
IMSAUDITRECNBR
The IMSAUDITRECNBR configuration parameter enables the generation of IMS user log records in the target IMS subsystem logs. The records can be used for auditing and performance analysis.
IMSV11CMPAT
The IMSV11CMPAT configuration parameter controls activation of new apply processing that eliminates the use of database scanning logic. Instead this processing uses SSAs that contain O command codes to locate a target segment instances that does not have a unique sequence field.
INACTTHRESHOLD
INACTTHRESHOLD is an optional parameter that defines the frequency for issuing the inactivity message CECZ0400W for a given subsystem.
LISTENURL
LISTENURL is a required parameter specifies the protocol identifier and address for communication for the apply service.
LOGBUFSIZE
The LOGBUFSIZE parameter defines the size of the log buffer.
LOGURL
The LOGURL parameter identifies the communication protocol for the logger service.
LOGTIEUPRECS
LOGTIEUPRECS indicates that Tieup Records must be logged to the Event Log.
MAXNCP
The MAXNCP parameter allows you to specify how many overlapped I/O operations are used to read and process the contents of an IMS log that has a close time that is recorded in the RECON.
MAXTRANSSIZE
The MAXTRANSSIZE configuration parameter identifies the synthetic commit interval.
MAXWRITERTHREADS
The MAXWRITERTHREADS configuration parameter defines the maximum number of writer threads that the target server can start.
MSGLIST
The MSGLIST parameter is maintained as a service list. You maintain service list parameters by using service list commands.
NMICOMMSTRING
The NMICOMMSTRING parameter specifies the communication path for the Network Management Interface (NMI) AF_UNIX domain socket.
NOTIFICATIONURL
NOTIFICATIONURL is a required parameter that identifies the TCP/IP address and port used for event notification.
OLDSPOLICY
The OLDSPOLICY configuration parameter controls the selection of primary versus secondary OLDS data sets when reading IMS log data and whether an online log should be used in preference to an archive when both are available.
PRUNINGTHRESHOLD
The PRUNINGTHRESHOLD configuration parameter allows you to identify how many source UORs are recorded in a thread-level bookmark record before incremental pruning operations can be initiated.
PSBIDLETIMEOUT
The PSBIDLETIMEOUT configuration parameter specifies a time interval that the first writer thread uses to check to see if an apply PSB should be unscheduled and the amount of time an apply PSB must be idle before it is unscheduled.
RECONNECTWAIT
The RECONNECTWAIT parameter defines the minimum amount of time that the DRA service waits after an IMS disconnect before attempting to reconnect to IMS.
SAFEXIT
The SAFEXIT parameter specifies the System Authorization Facility (SAF) system exit that performs authorization checks for the administration, monitoring, and console connections to the Classic data server.
SCHEDULEBEHAVIOR
The SCHEDULEBEHAVIOR configuration parameter allows you to control how writer services schedule and unschedule PSBs.
SMFEXIT
The SMFEXIT configuration parameter is used to specify the name of an exit that is called at various processing points and can be used to record activity for historical analysis.
SMFINTERVAL
The SMFINTERVAL configuration parameter identifies the frequency that the monitor service calls the SMF exit to report active subscription processing metrics.
SSIDEXCLUDELIST
The SSIDEXCLUDELIST parameter is an optional parameter that represents the IMS subsystem exclusion list for the log reader service.
STAGEBUFSIZECTL
The STAGEBUFSIZECTL configuration parameter identifies the size of the buffer that is used to stage log records of interest for IMS DB/DC or DB-CTL subsystems before they are merged and sent to the capture service.
STAGEBUFSIZEDLI
The STAGEBUFSIZEDLI configuration parameter identifies the size of buffer that is used to stage log records of interest from DL/I batch jobs before they are merged and sent to the capture service.
STOPIFDBRCNOUSED
The STOPIFDBRCNOUSED configuration parameter determines the action that should be taken when a DL/I batch job with DBRC=N is detected that created data capture log records.
STREAMMGRDELAY
The STREAMMGRDELAY parameter is used to delay change stream assignment for subscriptions to allow multiple subscriptions to use the same change stream.
STREAMNAME
The STREAMNAME parameter identifies the name of the log stream that is defined in the z/OS system logger.
STRICTVALIDATION
The STRICTVALIDATION configuration parameter allows you to control the behavior of replication when differences are detected in the source and target DBD attributes for a subscription.
SUBSTOPTIMEOUT
The SUBSTOPTIMEOUT configuration parameter defines how long the apply service waits for writers to respond during subscription end processing.
TRACKINGSCOPE
The TRACKINGSCOPE configuration parameter allows you to specify how recovery operations for completed UOR tracking work on restart of replication when an adaptive apply window exists and what kinds of source UORs are tracked.
UORDISCARDOPT
The UORDISCARDOPT configuration parameter identifies the action to be taken if the capture service detects a regression in the commit timestamp when source UORs changes are being discarded.
TRUNCATEWTOMSGS
The TRUNCATEWTOMSGS configuration parameter controls how DISPLAY output that exceeds 253 lines is handled. Write to operator (WTO) messages allow for a maximum 255 lines.
UORGROUPCOUNT
The UORGROUPCOUNT parameter identifies the number of messages that the capture service should group into a common unit of recovery (UOR) during replication.
USERSUBPOOLMAX
The USERSUBPOOLMAX parameter determines the maximum size of a user sub pool.
VSAMRECID
The VSAMRECID configuration parameter identifies the name of the table identification exit load module that controls the capture of changes that are made to VSAM data.
WRITERTHREADS
The WRITERTHREADS configuration parameter defines the number of writer threads to start when the target server is started.
