Should you install CDC for Db2 for z/OS resident?

CDC for Db2® for z/OS® does not require any of its modules to be loaded into the Link Pack Area. In fact, loading the executable code into the Link Pack Area is not recommended. CDC for Db2 for z/OS issues requests to the z/OS Binder Interface to obtain maintenance information about the load modules that are being used, and presents that information in an audit maintenance report during initialization. If the load modules are only accessible in the Link Pack Area, then the z/OS Binder Interface calls will fail, error messages will be issued, and the Audit Maintenance report cannot be produced.
