Understanding subscription states
Subscriptions configured in Management Console can be in one of the following states:
- Ending
- Indicates that CDC Replication is close to completing replication activity on the subscription and is in the process of shutting down.
- Failed
- Indicates that the subscription stopped replication after encountering an error.
- Inactive
- Indicates that CDC Replication is not replicating data on the subscription.
- Locked
- Indicates that the subscription has been locked by a user. A locked subscription is read-only to all other users.
- Mirror Continuous
- Indicates that CDC Replication is mirroring data between the source and target. This occurs when you have started continuous mirroring on the subscription.
- Mirror Net Change
- Indicates that CDC Replication is mirroring changes that were made to the source since replication last ended.
- Refresh Before Mirroring
- Indicates that CDC Replication will refresh the data before mirroring will begin.
- Refreshing
- Indicates that CDC Replication is refreshing data from the source to the target.
- Starting
- Indicates that CDC Replication is starting replication for the subscription.
- Unknown
- Indicates that CDC Replication cannot determine the state of the subscription.
- Waiting for DataStage® Job to be Started
- Indicates that Management Console is waiting for the IBM® DataStage job to begin before replication can start.
- Waiting for DataStage Job to Connect
- Indicates that Management Console is waiting for the IBM DataStage job to connect before replication can start.
- Ending DataStage job
- Indicates that Management Console is waiting for the IBM DataStage job to end before replication can end.
An icon is displayed beside the subscription name to visually indicate its state.
