Targeting a JMS message destination in Management Console
The CDC Replication Engine for Event Server can target JMS message destinations using subscriptions that you can create in Management Console.
After installing and configuring an instance of the CDC Replication Engine for Event Server,
you can proceed to use Management Console and
do the following tasks:
- Connect to your source datastore (CDC Replication source product) and connect to your target datastore (an instance of the CDC Replication Engine for Event Server) on the Datastores view.
- Create a subscription that targets a CDC Replication Engine for Event Server datastore on the Subscriptions view.
- Map source tables to a JMS message destination using the Map Tables wizard on the Table Mappings view.
- Map source columns to XML elements and attributes in order to create an XML message on the XML Message tab.
- Set JMS message header properties on the XML Settings tab.
- Start replication in order to send the XML message to a JMS message destination.
Before you can create a subscription in Management Console,
ensure you have completed the following tasks:
- Installed a CDC Replication source product that can scrape database operations.
- Installed Access Server and created both publisher-type and subcriber-type datastores and a user that can access these datastores.
- Installed Management Console.
