Configuring TLS encryption for Access Server

You can use TLS to encrypt communications between clients and Access Server and between Access Server and datastores.

CDC Replication requires a private keystore and a trust store to enable TLS encryption of communication between the source and target.

Access Server uses TLS encryption between the clients and Access Server systems when Access Server has an appropriate private key store and encryption is enabled.

You can configure CDC Replication datastores to either negotiate encryption through STARTTLS or to always encrypt communication with TLS. You can configure Access Server to support either type of datastores, but not both types of datastores at the same time.

To enable TLS encryption for connections to and from Access Server, you configure the tls.properties file.
