Configuring the CDC Replication Engine for Microsoft SQL Server

After installing CDC Replication, the installation program launches a configuration tool. The configuration tool allows you to configure one or more CDC Replication instances for your environment. You must configure your CDC Replication instance before you can start replication.

You can add, edit, or delete a CDC Replication instance. Use the configuration tool to work with instances. You do not have to start and stop instances.

Before you add, edit, or delete an instance, ensure logging is turned on for each database from which you intend to capture data changes.

Also, ensure that the recovery mode has been set to Bulk or Full-Logged for each database from which you intend to capture data changes.
