Some operating systems are no longer supported

Starting in 2024, support for some operating systems and database versions are discontinued for IBM InfoSphere Data Replication V11.4. It is not recommended to use these operating systems or database version. If you encounter difficulties while using CDC Replication with these operating systems or database versions, IBM Support requests to reproduce the same issue in a supported operating system or database version.

The operating systems and Linux® distributions that are no longer supported are:

  • AIX 7.1
  • CentOS 6
  • Oracle Linux 6
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • SuSE 11.0
  • Ubuntu 16.04
  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8

The features that are no longer supported include:
  • Direct Connect mappings: The InfoSphere DataStage subscription's Direct Connect settings are no longer in use. User Response

Review the list of supported operating systems and plan to upgrade your CDC Replication operating systems before upgrading your CDC Replication products. For database upgrades, review the CDC Replication documentation for considerations before upgrade to make sure that CDC Replication can properly process database log files after the upgrade.
