Disabling streamed transformation mode

You can have the CDC Replication Engine for Event Server use the Document Object Model (DOM) instead of IBM®'s Streamed XML Transformation (XST).

About this task

By default, the CDC Replication Engine for Event Server uses IBM's Streamed XML Transformation (XST). Disable this check box if you want the CDC Replication Engine for Event Server to use the Document Object Model (DOM) instead. The XST technology will dynamically switch parsing mode between (Simple API for XML) SAX and DOM depending on your transformation requirements. This may affect the performance but may be necessary in some cases.

Procedure

  1. Click Configuration > Datastores.

Ensure that you are connected to a CDC Replication Engine for Event Server datastore.

  2. Click Configuration > Subscriptions.

Ensure that you have created a subscription that uses the CDC Replication Engine for Event Server datastore as the target.

  3. Select the subscription that contains the table mapping to a message destination.
  4. Click the Table Mappings view and select the table mapping from the Source Table column.
  5. Right-click and select Open Details....
  6. Click the XML Settings tab.
  7. Disable the Enable streamed transformation mode check box.
  8. Click Save.
