Setting prompt preferences for confirmations

You can control when Management Console prompts you for confirmation before or while performing certain tasks.

Procedure

  1. Click Edit > Preferences.
  2. Click Prompts.
  3. Specify the prompt options you want by enabling the appropriate check boxes in the Confirmation area.
    Marking a Table Capture Point
    Enables Management Console to prompt you with a confirmation message before setting a capture point for a table. The message warns you that setting a capture point will update the bookmark for the table.
    Shutting Down Datastore
    Enables Management Console to prompt you with a confirmation message before shutting down an CDC Replication datastore.
    Changing Connection Parameters Password
    Enables Management Console to prompt you with a reminder that when you change a connection parameter password you must update related subscriptions.
    Column Encodings Are Not Compatible
    Enables Management Console to prompt you with a warning message when column encodings are not compatible.
    Rules-Based Table Mappings Are Not Available
    Enables Management Console to prompt you with a reminder that Rules-based table mappings will not be available if a subscription is created that uses a single database for both the source and target datastore.
  4. Click Apply.
