Setting monitoring preferences

You can control the behavior of monitoring in Management Console by setting the following preferences:

Statistics History Retained (minutes)
Specifies the length of time that Management Console retains data for the statistics view. If you change this value, you will need to restart Management Console for the changes to take effect.
Statistics Sample Rate (seconds)
Specifies the time interval frequency at which Management Console collects data for the statistics view. A lower number will increase the frequency of data collection. If you change this value, you will need to restart Management Console for the changes to take effect.
Automatically save performance statistics during collection
Specifies that Management Console will save performance statistics to file during statistics collection for a subscription. You can set the maximum file size and the maximum number of files that will be created. If you change these values, you will need to restart Management Console for the changes to take effect.
Track and save changes to graph scales for performance statistics
Specifies that the scale chosen in the Graphic Scale column in the Latency area of the Monitoring > Performance view will be remembered for future sessions. If you want to erase the graph data, click the Clear Saved Scales button.
Show the subscription error indicator
Specifies that the error overlay icon will be displayed on top of a subscription's icon in the Monitoring > Subscription view, when an error is logged in the event log for the subscription. This indicator must be reset manually.
Automatically retrieve events for the selected subscription
Specifies that events will be loaded automatically for the selected subscription when the Events detail panel is opened in the Monitoring view. For subscriptions belonging to datastores which are CDC Replication version 6.5 or later, either recent events or events for the last 24 hours will be loaded. For earlier versions of CDC Replication, all events will be loaded.
