CHC9511W TCP/IP excessive connections are encountered, a new connection has been rejected.

Explanation—CDC Replication requests a maximum of 2000 sockets from TCP/IP during initialization. If a CHC9510W message is not issued then 2000 is the maximum number of sockets that CDC Replication can use, otherwise it is the number indicated by CHC9510W message. This message indicates that the current number of sockets used by CDC Replication has reached the maximum permitted value, and the new incoming connection request has been refused.

System Action—CDC Replication continues executing, but new connections can not be established until at least one active connection is terminated.

Operator Response—This message should be conveyed to the system programmer who is responsible for TCP/IP, to check whether there is not enough CPU resource to release the unused sockets in time.

Client Administrator Response—This message should be conveyed to the client administrator as well, to check whether this message is caused by massive client connection requests and if those requests are valid or due to unintentional or malicious activities.
