CHC7055E TCP/IP failure to get local host information for server. The error code is code.
Explanation—A communications link I/O task was not able to obtain information about the identified local server.
Message Variables:
server—The host name of the local server.
code—The
error code as a result of the inability to obtain information about
the local server. The possible codes and their explanations are as
follows:
- 1—The host name of the local server was not found in the host table or on the domain name server.
- 2—The local server did not receive a response from an authoritative server. An attempt to obtain a response at a later time may succeed.
- 3—An unrecoverable error occurred.
- 4—The host name of the local server is valid, but there is no corresponding IP address.
Message Destination—Product administration log and system log
System Action—The communications link does not start. The conversation that relies on the link does not start, and replication activities that rely on the conversation do not start.
Operator Response—Verify that TCP/IP is active and properly configured.
Client Administrator Response—Perform the actions corresponding to the
following error codes (code):
- 1—Specify the correct host name or update the host table or domain name server to include an entry for the host name.
- 2—Verify that the local host information is defined in the host table or on the domain name server. If you are using an external domain name server, verify that its IP address is configured correctly and is accessible.
- 3—Record the message number. Contract your CDC Replication administrator or IBM® representative for assistance.
- 4—Verify that the host name entry on the domain server is correct and complete.
