The permitted column lengths are: CHAR 1-255, VARCHAR 1-2048, FLOAT 4 or 8, and 
DECIMAL 1-31.

Explanation—The length specified for a derived column is not valid for the data type. Derived columns are defined in Management Console.

System Action—The derived column will not be defined.

Client Administrator Response—In Management Console, you must set the length of the derived column to a valid value. The message text identifies the supported lengths for common data types that are supported by CDC Replication.
