Editing an encryption profile on the command-line (UNIX and Linux)

You can edit an existing encryption profile by using the command-line configuration tool.

About this task

An encryption profile might be in use by one or more CDC Replication instances:

  • You must restart all affected instances for the changes to take effect.
  • If you rename an encryption profile, instances that are looking for the profile by the old name will fail.

Procedure

  1. At the command prompt, launch the configuration tool by issuing the following command:
     /CDC_Replication_installation_directory/bin/dmconfigurets
  2. Type the number that corresponds with the Manage encryption profiles option and press Enter.
  3. Type 2 and press Enter.
  4. Look for the number of the encryption profile that you want to modify, type that number, and press Enter.

Results

The configuration tool allows you to edit a number of values that you specified when you added the encryption profile.
