Deleting an encryption profile on the command-line (UNIX and Linux)

You can delete an encryption profile by using the command-line configuration tool.

About this task

If you delete an encryption profile that is in use by one or more CDC Replication instances, then those instances will fail.

Procedure

  1. At the command prompt, launch the configuration tool by issuing the following command:
     /CDC_Replication_installation_directory/bin/dmconfigurets
  2. Type the number that corresponds with the Manage encryption profiles option and press Enter.
  3. Type 3 and press Enter.
  4. Look for the number of the encryption profile that you want to delete, type that number, and press Enter.
  5. Type y to confirm that you want to delete the encryption profile and press Enter.
