Remote target apply

You can deploy your target installation of the CDC Replication Engine for Db2® Database on a system that is remote from your target database.

To allow communication with the target database, you must install DB2® Client on the machine where the CDC Replication Engine for Db2 Database is installed.

To use the CDC Replication Engine for Db2 Database as a target remotely, the fastload directory needs to be accessible on both the local and remote machines with the identical path. To make the fastload directory accessible, users can either use NFS (Network File System) or GPFS (General Parallel File System).
