Port requirements

CDC Replication requires that you allocate a port for communication with client workstations running Management Console and other servers.

The port must be accessible through a firewall, although you do not require access to the Internet.
Protocol Default port Purpose
TCP   Accepts connections from:
  • Management Console
  • Other installations of CDC Replication as a source of replication
  • Command line utilities
