Overriding the locale for the installation (UNIX and Linux®)

You can use the following procedure to override the locale for the installer.

About this task

The following languages are supported:
  • English
  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Portuguese
  • Simplified Chinese
  • Traditional Chinese
  • Spanish

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the directory that contains the IBM® Data Replication installation file.
  2. Start the installer with the following flags to override the locale of the installation:
    English
    <installation_file_name>.bin -l en
    French
    <installation_file_name>.bin -l fr
    German
    <installation_file_name>.bin -l de
    Italian
    <installation_file_name>.bin -l it
    Japanese
    <installation_file_name>.bin -l ja
    Korean
    <installation_file_name>.bin -l ko
    Portuguese
    <installation_file_name>.bin -l pt_BR
    Simplified Chinese
    <installation_file_name>.bin -l zh_CN
    Traditional Chinese
    <installation_file_name>.bin -l zh_TW
    Spanish
    <installation_file_name>.bin -l es

    where <installation_file_name> is the name of the IBM Data Replication installation file.

What to do next

After the installation is complete, you have the option of launching the IBM Data Replication configuration tool. The configuration tool will use the locale settings for your system.
