Remotely applying data to a database in an AlwaysOn availability group

Follow these steps when CDC Replication is installed on a different server than any of the AlwaysOn availability group servers.

Procedure

  1. Install Microsoft SQL Server connectivity tools on the server where you install the CDC Replication Engine for Microsoft SQL Server. For more information, see Configuring a remote target of the CDC Replication Engine for Microsoft SQL Server.
  2. Ensure that the CDC Replication database user ID is present on all Microsoft SQL Server instances where the availability group might fail over.
