Understanding the Datastores view

The Datastores view is located in the Configuration perspective in Management Console. The functionality options and what the Datastores view looks like to a user depends on that user's role. A user must have a role of System Administrator, Administrator, or Operator in order to see this view.

Note that users with the Monitor role can connect to datastores to which they have access using the Connect to datastore button located above the Subscriptions view of the Monitoring perspective, even though they cannot see the Datastores view.
