Setting an email notification

You can set up an email notification to receive alerts about your datastore.

Before you begin

This task is not applicable if you are connected to a CDC Replication Engine for Db2® for z/OS®, CDC Replication Engine for Db2 for i, or an IBM® Classic CDC for z/OS datastore.

1. Click Configuration > Datastores.
2. Right-click on a datastore and select Notifications.
3. Depending on whether you want CDC Replication to detect events on the source datastore or on the target datastore, click the Source tab or the Target tab.
4. Select a category from Notification Categories.
5. Select the INTERNET MAIL box.
6. Enter the host name of your outgoing mail server in the SMTP Mail Host box.
7. Enter the email address that you want to notify in the Alert Account box. Use a semicolon to separate multiple email addresses or specify a distribution list from your email application.
8. Enter your email address in the Sender Mail Address box.
9. Enter your email password in the Sender Mail Password box.
