Read-only database connections

The CDC Replication Engine for Oracle databases supports read-only database connections to your Oracle database.

This type of configuration is useful if your business requirements do not allow write access to your source database.

To support read-only database connections, you must create a read-only user and enable table-level supplemental logging in your database before installing and configuring CDC Replication.
